Frank, I can relate to this quote having recently gone through a conflict based on a misunderstanding and having to deal with a person living in a different reality governed by their perception.

Hey There F Smolle,
Thanks for the info, As organizations focusing on keeping addicts one step ahead of their addiction, De-addiction centres across India present a number of advantages to those struggling with drug abuse.
Great Job!

Yes ... being a minority and especially the only female in the unit is scary. You would have experienced your self being at the end of a lot of jokes and even unwanted advances. I have seen this all too often, and usually it happens when there are no staff about to put a stop to it.... I feel for you.

There are female only rehabs around, I feel I have the vast maggoty listed on this blog... I hope the map helps you in finding what you need. so when you have a phone assessment with a rehab, ask if you will be the only female there. But remember that rehabs as with detox centres the client turn over can be fast.

Just a note.... this web site is mainly for helping you find the right information, you need to find the right thing for you.... this needs you to ring these rehabs and set up the bookings.

I hope everything goes well for you.

You can organise this through your methadone prescriber, if it is only to slowly reduce the quantity of methadone you and your partner are taking.

I have placed this info on my blog because I have found it hard to find all the info in one place. so please give this organisation a ring.

You may find that many rehabs will want you to be off methadone before you entre rehab, and many Detox units may not take couples. So the way around this is to first one person goto detox while the other looks after the kids. then as that person that has detoxed and goes to Benelong haven, the other person can drop the kids off with the first person and then the second person follows through to detox and meets you at the rehab.

Please try to organise this all with the rehab and the detox centres first because you will need to get all the dates to match.

I hope this helps :-)
